Arizona Golden Rescue

23-055 Allisson  is an 11-month-old (not spayed) Golden mix.  She lived in an apartment and was sur rendered because her owner recently had knee surgery and was unable to give her the attention and exercise she needs. She presents herself as shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up and is loving.  Allisson  needed our standard vet work with vaccines, tests for valley fe ver and heartworm, a spay, and removal of rear dew claws. Placement contacted three families before they found a foster couple in Phoenix. After being transported to their house,  Allisson  met each of their 5 resident dogs with much enthusiasm. Once in the backyard, they proceeded to run and play. When she met their cat  Autumn ,  Allisson  was totally enamored with her. Living with the foster couple for the first 10 days,  Allisson  made great strides with her house-training and settled into a routine. After she had been spayed and returned home from the vet,  Allisson’s  foster dad made the following comment: 

Well, we learned something today. We learned that we can't foster any dogs because they always stay! The pack missed her so much! 

Allisson  won the hearts of her fosters and is being adopted by them! The adopter sent us this message: 

We initially wanted just to foster  Allisson , as this sweet girl came into Rescue but had not yet found her forever home. The plan was not to keep her, but plans change, and it seems in our home dogs that come in do not go out.  Allisson  immediately bonded with our girl  Mila ,  – it was truly love at first sight for both. It took her a few days to learn to socialize with the rest of our pack of five, but once that  happened we knew she was going to stay . She is a true love bug and has turned into a momma’s girl. We are so blessed to have her as part of our now six-pack!
