23-063 Winnie  is a 2-year-old unaltered female purebred Golden girl. The surrendering owner took her from another family that was not giving her the care she needed. This owner, with a young child and one on the way, knew she could not keep  Winnie  but wanted to help find her a good home. In-laws (where the dog was staying) wanted to keep her but their three older cats would not come out of the bedroom. Not fair to them. So, she called  AGR . We had all her vaccines updated and were about to get her spayed but she went into heat, so the surgery had to wait a month. She came in with a wound on her leg, which has been treated, and an addendum issued for more vetting for three months, if needed. The resident dog,  Lola , finally seems to have come to terms with having  Winnie  around – she barked and barked at first. The family related: 

Winnie  is everything we wanted. She is so chill!  Lola  is still adjusting, but they both walk around following us. We took  Winnie  out for a short walk today -- she loved it. She seems very comfortable with us.
