24-058 Erwin is a 21-month-old purebred Golden. His original family was moving and couldn’t take him. The owner reported that Erwin is very energetic and loves to go for walks. He gets so excited when he knows he is going for a walk that his teeth chatter. He does pull on the leash but is kept close with commands. The owner provided a list of commands that the dog knows. At 66 lbs, Erwin is a perfect weight for a male Golden. He is sweet and smart and loves to snuggle in bed. AGR had to update all his vaccinations and test him for heartworm and valley fever. After he was placed in his forever home with an adoptive couple and daughters in Tempe, he was neutered. He needs some leash work and tends to jump up on people. With some training tips from a private trainer, Erwin’s behavior is improving. The adopter wrote: 

Erwin has been an absolute dream pup and perfect addition to our home! He is so sweet with our kids, loves lots of belly rubs and ear scratches, enjoys morning and evening family walks and playing ball and with his favorite toy rings. He is a quick learner of new tricks and enjoys relaxing to listen to family bedtime stories. He has brought all of us immense joy and we adore him! We are so grateful to the Rescue connecting us as his forever home!
