24-078 Benny and 24-079 Joon are 11-month-old bonded littermates. They were surrendered because the wife was very ill and could not come home from the hospital until the dogs were re-homed, as they were too active/energetic for her. Both dogs were described as happy girls who like playing with shadows and bubbles. They are talkers and curious. Neither of the girls was spayed. They are almost identical, except Joon is a tad bigger and darker and has a little more wave in her coat on her back; she also has a bit of pink on her nose and a “put food here” black spot on her tongue. Both girls needed all our standard vaccinations and tests. They also need to be spayed, but that will have to wait until both finish their heat cycle – one of them went into heat soon after being placed but we’re still waiting for the other one to start. The pair has been adopted by an adoptive couple in Phoenix. This couple met the girls at the boarding facility. They seemed to be quite taken with them, but the adopter asked if they could have overnight to make a decision. We applaud them – it’s a big step to adopt two dogs at once, especially young, active ones. Once the couple committed to the adoption, they couldn’t wait to have the girls delivered to their home. Benny and Joon have adjusted very well in our home. They are getting more comfortable and more destructive each day. They are not really counter surfers. However, they have chewed on rugs and electrical cords! They also find the gate that is used to keep them in a room when we are not home quite tasty! We really don’t know who the ringleader is – we change our minds constantly! They are sweethearts, though, and we absolutely love them!
