Ozzie is a cute 7-year-old Golden/Border Collie mix that was returned to us from the surrendering family after he growled at their 1-year-old son who liked to climb all over him. Described as a gentle soul, his family told us he had come a long way in the nearly two years they had him. Interestingly enough for a Border Collie mix, they told us he was supposedly not interested in chasing balls and did not like toys. Sure enough, he was pretty shy when we got him. After taking him in for initial vetting, he was placed with his adopter. Ozzie is a great dog with a lot of potential as she has written us.

What can I say about Ozzie? I knew there was something special about him when I first learned of his availability. Adopting him has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. He is shy and a little bit insecure, but is growing more confident with each passing day. He is very gentle and can even play with my 12-pound terrier and never hurts him. Not only is he already best buddies with both of my terrier mixes, but he is a great leader for them. Each day is a joy for me watching Ozzie thriving. He can now recover from loud noises better than a month ago. His overall fearfulness is dissipating. We will continue to go to new places and experience different situations so Ozzie can truly enjoy life and be the dog he was always meant to be.
