Learn more about the Golden Retriever.
Oso was a young one- to two-year-old boy who was found as a stray. The family that found him in front of their house did all the right things to try to find his owners but to no avail. That family really was not set up for a dog, and felt Oso deserved a better life with people who would give him plenty of love and attention. He had been living in their backyard and their kids loved to play with him. Oso was in rough shape when we got him, with numerous scabs, open sores, and a thin coat. He also had not been neutered. After examining him, the vet suspected that food allergies had progressed to the point that the bacterial and fungal issues had overloaded the poor guy. After neutering, Oso was adopted quickly by an adoptive couple, and we are happy to say that after six weeks and a special diet, Oso’s skin issues are well under control. Renamed Tucker, this guy is sure to have a long and healthy life! More about Oso/TuckerGood with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults
